Individuals who are mentally handicapped, 18 years of age or older, ambulatory, capable of basic self-care and living semi-independently, with behavior that does not pose a threat to self, others, or the community are eligible for admission. The Olive Branch does not discriminate on the basis of color, national or ethnic origin, creed or sex.
Factors considered for choosing among several applicants include male or female openings, compatibility with other members of the community, length of time on the waiting list, urgency for placement, and most importantly, discerning God’s will for that specific placement.
The Olive Branch requires a completed application, current medical examination, a psychological evaluation completed within the past three years, and an interview with the applicant. A trial period ranging from 30 to 90 days can be accommodated upon completion of the application process and acceptance into the program.

FEE POLICY
The organization charges the members $1200 per month. The charge is based on the cost to the organization of operating the Program and has a special fund for trips and vacations for the members. It takes into account charitable contributions.
Based on the Scripture’s teachings concerning the poor, the organization will provide a minium of 20% of it’s admissions to those who are unable to afford the full fee or any part thereof. The Olive Branch hopes to provide a quality community where ability to pay the fee is not the predominant factor in admissions to the Program. The Olive Branch will make every effort to help those who need financial assistance to or at the time of admission. |
