The woodshop provides an opportunity for the men to assist in building southwest pole furniture. The men have made regular, canopy and bunk beds, tables and chairs, vanities, desks, and entertainment centers. In addition, they make bird houses, planters, and other craft items. All of these items are for public sale. The goal of the woodshop is to enable those men who do not work off the property an opportunity to have a vocation and contribute toward their own support. This allows them a degree of independence they have never experienced before. |
